Benvido and welcome to Galicia! Come with me as I share with you my 5 favorite things to do in this awesome region of Northern Spain. #1 Nature Galicia is home to some spectacular scenery. Whether it be along the coast or inland, you will discover tons of great landscapes to pursue adventure activities. #2 Palaces Who doesn’t like palaces? This region has an abundance of old manor houses that are full of history. Several of these are still homes today as well as converted into wineries and hotels. #3 Food Galicia is home to some absolutely amazing food. Blessed with excellent seafood and vegetables. I promise you won’t go hungry here… and you most certainly have to try the famous pulpo de galego. #4 Wine With 5 Denominations of Origin and dozens of local wine producers, you will always have a reason to fill your glass. A lot of fun can be had doing tastings and tours at different wineries. #5 Santiago de Compostella This city is loaded with history and is the end point to all the Camino routes. Be sure to visit the famous Cathedral. I recommend doing a roof tour, to see excellent views of the entire city. If you are real lucky, you will get to witness, the Botafumeiro ceremony. Well, my time in Galicia is finished. I had a fantastic time. If you think that I left anything of the list, please put it in the comment box below and next time I am in this awesome region I will be sure to do it. So, as the locals say… Hasta logo!
