A historic / milestone film for sure. But disappointed in the condescending way the film's rhetoric treats Jazz and its artistic merits.
Great to see the superb Billie Holiday in her only feature film. so glad she condescended to make it and leave us a beautiful legacy. She has been so shabbily treated in the film's narrative and representation.
