You are the queen of making extra details look easy! Those ribbons looked so effortless….. for me i might need to do a pencil line first. You definitely have inspired me to jump in with both feet in my watercolouring!! Thank you:)
Perfectly wonderful from using sentiments that fit into ornament shapes to using these beautiful paints on black cardstock – I love these and feel very inspired!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Love those pearlescent paints for the ornaments, both cards turned out so gorgeous! Those ME sentiment stamps are definitely going on my shopping list, they are fantastic!
I thought it looked like earth when you first started as well. Not such a bad thing… and a good idea for another project! I might have to try something like this, but I just got the Hero Arts infinity die ornament set, so I could do a layered card with this effect. Oh, the possibilities! Great cards – lovely idea! Thanks for yet another year of cards. Love them!!
Wonderful cards! I love those pearlescent watercolors. Might have to add that set to my Christmas wish list! I wonder if you've ever tried applying watercolor ground (transparent) to black cardstock? I've used it on patterned paper when I wanted to alter the color, and it worked really well–even better than I'd hoped. No major warping and absolutely no pilling. It could be a good alternative to black watercolor paper. I know Daniel Smith even makes black watercolor ground. Just a suggestion for anyone who is interested. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous artwork, Kristina! Take care, & have an awesome day! ๐
Those pearlescent paints look awesome. The cards look really look nice. I don't have the paints you used. I might try making these ornament cards with alcohol inks.
